Getting here and parking couldn’t be easier...

Parking in Luton town centre at Luton Point couldn’t be easier.

Market & Central Car Parks 

Take Junction 10 off the M1 and follow the signs to the town centre. Once on Gipsy Lane (A505) continue straight through the roundabout approaching St Mary’s Road, where you will see a large church on your left hand side, remaining in the left hand lane pass through the first set of traffic lights. Luton Point will be on your left. A car park entrance can be found by taking the first slip road to the left (John Street) and following the road in to Melson Street which will lead you into Market Car Park.

Central Car Park is situated off Cheapside and can be found by continuing further along to the end of John Street.


Library Car Park

Alternatively, additional parking is available in Library Car Park and is located off Library Road behind Luton Central Library and adjacent to The Galaxy.

Sat Nav users should use the postcodes LU1 2JX for Market Car Park, LU1 2HN for Central Car Park and LU1 2NG for Library Car Park.

Motorcycles

There is motorcycle parking in both Central and Market Car Parks. In Central Car Park the bays are on Level 1 by the exit. In Market Car Park they are on the ground floor. No charges apply to motorcycles.

Various bus companies offer services to Luton Town Centre, including Arriva, Centrebus and Stagecoach. Many of these services stop directly outside Luton Point or within a 5 minute walk.

Luton Point is a 5 minute walk from Luton Train Station. Exit the station towards the town centre. At the traffic lights cross over Guildford Street and you will see Luton Point’s entrance directly ahead of you.

Parking

At Luton Point parking is easy, safe and secure. We have three car parks offering convenient access to the shopping centre, all of which are accredited by the Park Mark® Safer Parking Scheme.

How our contactless car park works:

  • Drive into the car park – the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) will read your number plate and let you in.
  • Park and go shopping.
  • Pay via one of the options available – mobile, autopay or pay-station.
  • Drive out – the ANPR will read your number plate, recognise that you have paid, and let you out.


How to pay:

  • Pay at a pay station – remember that pay-stations are now cashless so you need to pay using a bank card or contactless device e.g. phone or smart watch.
  • Pay via your mobile – visit reefparking.com/pay and enter code location ID 5050
  • Sign up for AutoPay – reefparking.com/autopay You can create an account and be charged automatically every time you visit. Simply drive in and out as you please!

Market & Central Car Parks

These car parks offer 1,422 car parking spaces and are open 24 hours a day. Tariffs for these car parks are shown in the table to the right.

Disabled Parking:

    • Market Car Park – 35 spaces on level 3.
    • Central Car Park –   31 spaces on levels 1 & 2.


Parent & Child Parking:

      • Market Car Park – 27 spaces on level 4.
      • Central Car Park – 41 spaces on level 1.

*Please note lift access in Market Car Park is from Level 3 and above.


Access to Market & Central Car Parks out of hours 

For access to Market Car Park outside of the centre opening times,  please enter via the two staircases at the back of the Market on Melson Street/Church Street.

For disabled access to Market Car Park and access to Central Car Park, please use the intercom at St George’s Square so we can give you access.

Library Car Park

Library Car Park offers 112 spaces including disabled spaces and is open 24 hours a day. Tariffs for the Library Car Park are also shown on the right. Sundays and Bank Holidays are priced as normal.

  • Central Car Park: 6’2″
  • Library Car Park: 6’10”

Cyclists

Approximately 20 spaces are available around Luton Point for cyclists. Due to safety reasons no bikes are permitted in Luton Point so please utilise these facilities.
