From 1 February 2026, Luton Point will become a vape free environment, marking an important step in our commitment to creating a cleaner, healthier and more enjoyable space for everyone who visits, works or shops with us.
This change is part of our new campaign, Escape the Vape, which puts the wellbeing of our community at the heart of everything we do.
Why we’re going vape free
We want our centre to be a place where families, friends and colleagues can spend time comfortably. Removing vaping from our spaces helps us:
What this means for visitors
From 1 February, vaping will not be permitted anywhere on our site — including malls, entrances, walkways and car parks. Visitors who wish to vape will need to do so outside the centre and away from our entrances.
Clear signage and friendly reminders from our team will help everyone adjust to the new policy.
A positive step for our community
We’re proud to join a growing number of public spaces taking action to reduce vaping in shared environments. Together with our stores, partners and visitors, we’re building a space that puts health, comfort and community first.
Got any questions – please see our FAQ below. Thank you for supporting this important change — and for choosing to Escape the Vape with us.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the centre going vape free?
We’re committed to creating a cleaner, healthier and more enjoyable environment for everyone. Removing vaping from our spaces helps reduce exposure to vapour, supports family friendly environments and cuts down on waste from vape products.
When does the vape free policy start?
The policy comes into effect on 1 February 2026.
Where does the policy apply?
The vape free policy covers all areas of the centre, including malls, entrances, stairwells, walkways and car parks.
Can I vape anywhere on site?
No. Vaping is not permitted anywhere within the centre. Visitors who wish to vape will need to step outside the centre and away from our entrances before doing so.
Does this include all types of vape devices?
Yes. The policy applies to all types of vaping devices, including refillable devices, disposable vapes and vape pens.
How will the policy be enforced?
Our team will politely remind visitors of the policy. We aim to educate and encourage, not confront. Clear signage will also be in place throughout the centre.
Why now?

Will there be signage?
Yes. New signage will be installed across the centre to ensure the policy is clear and easy to follow.
