Energy Saving Initiatives
Since 2015 we have:
- Replaced all car park lighting with energy saving lamps and fittings which are programmable to reduce lighting lux levels out of operational hours.
- Used Passive Infrared movement sensors to control our Service Road lighting out of operational hours, as well as reduce full lighting via time clock control. A programme of replacement lamps and fittings for energy efficient modules is also underway as lights become non-repairable.
- Replaced high level halogen lights in our Atrium with energy efficient models.
- Replaced light fittings in stair cores with energy efficient models.
- Gained greater control over lighting levels in the centre through enhanced settings and zoning areas in the Building Management System.
- Embarked on a project to replace fluorescent lighting (as they become non-manufactured for NCZ reasons) to all pelmet & emergency lighting in Landlord areas throughout the centre.
