We're pleased to showcased just a few of the fantastic initiatives that our stores have in place to reduce plastic, including:
🟢 Starbucks - receive 25p off your drink when you bring your own cup, or when you buy the cup in-store and fill up with a drink!
🟢 Yogoo Natural Frozen Yogurt - reuse plastic frozen yoghurt tubs where possible to reduce plastic usage
🟢 The Fragrance Shop - refill your select fragrances in-store and reuse your existing bottles, including the popular Mugler scents
🟢 The Perfume Shop - recycle your pre-loved bottles and get 15% off your next purchase in-store
🟢 Brown and White Opticians - Luton - recycle your contact lenses and contact lense packets in-store, along with old spectacles, spectacle lenses, cases and cleaning cloths!
🟢 Boots - receive £5 worth of Advantage Card points when you spend at least £10 and recycle 5 qualifying items - includes blister packs, and items that are not recylable at home (full list of items included are on the advantage card app). Boots Opticians also have sustainable glasses options available including Botaniq, which plant a tree for every new frame sold. You can also recycle old frames in store.
🟢 Three - Will recycle old mobile phones. All packaging in store is recycled and all in store POS is recycled cardboard/paper. SIM cards are made from recycled plastics.
🟢 EE - Will recycle phones for upgrading customers in store or sell online for them to be recycled, they will also recycle cables that might be hard to recycle at home. SIM cards are made from recycled plastics.
🟢 Vibe - Recycle and reuse plastic yoghurt tubs to save on waste
🟢 Costa - Customers will receive double beans/points on their Costa Rewards when they use their own cup, re-usable cups are also available to purchase in store
🟢 Black Sheep Coffee - All packaging is recycled cardboard or plastic (minimal plastic packaging), re-usable cups available in store.
🟢 O2 - Phone recycling scheme available where customers can sell their old phones, 95% of the old device is then refurbished and re-used. O2 run a "Like New" scheme where you can purchase refurbished phones for a reduced price. They'll also recycle old cables and don't issue new plug chargers to save on waste of these. In store they are paperless and email all customer receipts and contracts etc
🟢 Vision Express - Have over 100 sustainable and recycled glasses options, they will also take in old glasses and contact lenses to be recycled and offer lifetime servicing for glasses to limit wear and tear and extend the life of the glasses.
