Recycling Initiatives

0% of the waste generated here at Luton Point goes to landfill – and it’s been that way since 2013.
With over 20 recycling bins in the centre, all of our guest waste is recycled.

Plastic Recycling

In 2021, we sent more than 17 tonnes of plastic for recycling, meaning we saved almost 34 barrels of oil.

Cardboard

We recycled 259 tonnes of cardboard in 2021, saving the equivalent of 4,403 trees and saving over 850 tonnes of CO2 from landfill.

Food

In 2021 we produced 8 tonnes of food waste, through the Anaerobic Digestion process it is treated and turned into liquid or compost.
